La Sagrada Familia. The four Evangelist towers. 2019 — Museums

At the Sagrada Familia of Barcelona, the four Evangelist towers dedicated to the narrators of the life of Jesus, designed by Gaudí, were the protagonists of the Open Doors Days during September 2019.

Cristià-Blasi was in charge of the conceptualisation, exhibition design and content writing for the display of the last stage of these four towers, which are as high as a 5 storey building of the Eixample. The exhibit set up, calculated and monitored by engineers, consists of four structures which represent the pinnacles, holding the four sculptures of the Evangelists.  In this way, a scale model 1:5 will be displayed inside the Temple, at ground level, to show details of the design, structure, construction, and symbolism of these highest points crowned with the Christian iconographic figures of the Evangelists: a man or angel, a lion, an ox, and an eagle. The original, once finished, will at a height of more than 135 meters.
